Let's face it.. The streets of secondlife are brimming with pooffy gowns and huge hair, each big enough to be towed on a wideload truck.. But how often have you passed a beautiful female avi on the road and shouted “Ah! Marilyn Monroe!”
Well, the first time I went out in my “Marilyn in Blue” gown (shown above) that's exactly what happened! Total strangers were sending me exclamation IM's with “OMG, MARILYN! Good job!” and before the night was out, I even made a couple friends and got a date:-)
“Marilyn in Blue” is part of the new Q LA LA line featuring unique vintage dresses inspired by the indelible ladies of the olden silver screen.. It is a collaboration between Model & Fashion Editor Quincee Twine and Fashion Designer Gabrielle Gateaux of Chez Gabrielle.
This Marilyn Gown comes in several unique shades and there's another spin-off Marilyn gown in Gold & Smoke, and more retro ensembles being released as we speak.
